When most people think about how beer relates to their health, they will first think about all of the calories that beer holds and how, if they drink too much of it, they can end up putting on weight. They do not stop to consider, however, that in moderation, beer can actually be good for them. One trait that has been associated with people who drink no more than one beer per day is being much less susceptible to cardiovascular disease. There may be a number of factors which contribute to this, but some of the elements of beer may have a positive effect on anyone's health.
One beer per day will often help to reduce blood clotting. This will help the blood stay thinner which can help it flow through the body better. The heart will not have to work as hard to be able to pump the blood through the body and as a result, it will stay healthier. Beer, along with other alcoholic beverages, may also help improve bone density, making it harder for anyone to break a bone. This can be especially helpful as anyone gets older and osteoporosis begins to set in.
Of course, the beer which is being drank must be done in moderation. Simply because one beer a day may have health benefits, raising that number will not raise the health benefits. Not only will this overload the body with calories, but it can also put too much alcohol into the body at one time. This will lead to one's organs having to work harder to balance the body out. If this is something which happens too often, serious health problems could develop. If someone is not able to handle drinking merely one beer per day, this is something to be avoided. The health benefits are not large enough to risk developing an addiction to alcohol.
Beer has a number of nutrients in it, relating back to the grains which are used to make the beer in the first place. These nutrients and vitamins can help a person to achieve their daily goal, which can help a body run at an optimal rate. This may relate to the studies which show that women who drink one beer a day often have improved mental health. When the correct nutrients are being given to the body, everything will work at a much better pace.
Of course, beer is not proper for anyone. If a person has any diseases or conditions where alcohol may adversely affect them, beer should be avoided. In other cases, talking to a doctor first is heavily advised. Beer can, however, be healthy for a body when taken in moderate doses.
